I believe he was the silversmith actually. It is as new sitting in its bed of cotton. I do not know if the box is original but I dont think so and it doesnt really matter i suppose. The sølje is magnificently artisan hand made with masses of lavish detail in white silver from Norway. It is an extraordinary seldom seen piece in excellent condition.

It is 2 " diameter with overhang and hangs about across with a hanging length of 4 1/4". I try my best to give you complete approximate measurements & plenty of photos to provide the best possible description.
