Henning brought an organic sculptural quality to everything he created, and his designs were responsible for propelling Jensen silver to the forefront of Modern design after World War II. (Georg Jensen Jewelry, Yale University Press p 327).This stunning Koppel ring, design #242, is part of the permanent collection at the British Museum, and very rarely becomes available. A beautiful piece, it is crafted of sterling silver in a large sweeping oval-shaped design with curved bezel displaying a gorgeous amber cabochon which captures and reflects the light. A true statement ring, it measures 1 7/8" x 1", the stone measures 1" x 3/4" and rises 3/8 from the setting. Currently a size 4 1/2 US, it has a tapered band with opening which allows it to be resized by a jeweler without disturbing the design or hallmarks.
