Marius Hammer Plique A Jour Antique Enamel 830s Footed Decorative Silver Dish

This is really a museum piece, absolutely exquisite. It is marked MH 830s and the Marius Hammer mark. The whole rim, the feet and the upper part of the stand legs are accented with plique a jour translucent enameling. The top is a dished dark purple guilloche enamelling. There is no missing or repaired enamel.

The purple portion is perfect, no scratches, chips etc. The plique a jour has about three small panels that when held to the light have very light crazing, virtually perfect. One of the green leaves on the upper part of one leg has a small surface chip and some crazing. It measures 1.75 inches tall by 3.25 inches across.

Circa 1900 art nouveau period. Very rare and hard to find decorative piece by highly sought after Norwegian artist. _gsrx_vers_827 GS 7.0.13 (827).
