Vintage Danish Designer Sterling & Amethyst Modernist Brooch & Bracelet Set - Max Standager & Hermann Siersbol - Circa 1950's & 1960's Measurements: Bracelet: 7.75L x. 3Thick 19.69cm x 1.52cm x. 76cm Brooch: 2.1"L x 1.25"W x. 5Thick (5.33cm x 3.18cm x 1.27cm) Markings: Brooch: Sterling HS Denmark Bracelet: Sterling Denmark MS Weight: 25.5g Ironically I found these 2 pieces at separate estate sales but they look like they were meant to be together! The bracelet is from Max Standager in the 1960's and the brooch from Hermann Siersbol in the 1950's both of Denmark.

Both are in excellent condition with little to no wear - Very clean and shiny - mirror like finish. Included with brooch are 2 sterling silver plate converters so that it can be worn either vertically or horizontally as a pendant on a necklace if preferred Hermann Siersbol opened in April 1945 his silversmith workshop. He had a mission to make affordable quality jewelry in modern Scandinavian designs. His company has slowly become one of the largest silver and gold jewelry producers of Scandinavia. In 1964 Hermann died in a tragic accident and the company was taken over by his 4 children.

His son Henrik Siersbol leads the firm now along with his daughter Camilla. The early pieces are very sought after and valuable. Danish silversmith designer Max Standager worked at Jemax jewelry workshop from 1961 to 1985.

Traditionally using 925 sterling silver, he created elegant, iconic design jewelry, marking them with the brand Sterling 925 Denmark M. He also sometime used his workshop label "Jemax Sterling Denmark".

Besides silver, he mastered the use of gilding, Guilloche enamel and semi-precious stones. No REASONABLE offer will be refused!
