Antique 1900's AKSEL HOLMSEN 925 Sterling Guilloche Enamel Viking Ship Brooches

Spectacular Antique Aksel Holmsen sterling silver guilloche enamel brooches. The guilloche effect gives them an almost iridescent appearance. Set in gold gilt over sterling silver. The Aksel Holmsen hallmark (resembles W's overlapped). Also noting that he trained w/ David Andersen & continued to work for him until 1904.

Establishing his own workshop, he became officially licensed in 1906. The pin backs & handmade tube hinges date these brooches back to 1850 to 1910.
