Fantastic vintage Danish sterling silver bracelet by jeweler C BRUMBERG HANSEN, working in Copenhagen from 1937. Marked 830 silver, the standard for sterling in Denmark into the 1930s.
Delightful motif with deer or gazelles leaping through stylized, swirling leaves. Panel bracelet features an Art Deco motif in open-work leaping gazelles. This type of cut work was typical of C Brumberg Hansen, considered one of the master silver designers of the Art Deco period in Denmark. Bracelet features 6 panels with silver box links between them for a total length of 19 cm or approx 7 1/2 inches.
Each panel is about 3/4 or 1.8 cm tall. Hallmarks: cbh and 830 S(terling).
