EARLY Pre-Designer Logo Winnaess for David Andersen DA NORWAY BLUE LEAF Necklace

This is a rare early example of enameled double leaf jewelry designed by Willy Winnaess for David-Andersen in the 1950s. The mark of Winnaess, a rounded W in a circle, would ultimately be added to examples of this design, most often on the clasp for a necklace or bracelet. This 15"+ necklace is constructed of 22 double leaf links with EACH ONE marked in raised letters "D-A NORWAY STERLING 925S.

The clasp is not marked and there are no Winnaess designer marks. Every example of this jewelry I could find on-line is marked only on the clasp. None were marked on each link as here. In addition to the medium blue enameling, this necklace is gold plated on sterling or vermeil.

Significant flaws not depicted in the photos are described here-with, minor flaws and normal wear are not. Unless the item is described as new, assume there will be minor flaws or wear commensurate with a used item of given age.
