This stunning Koppel ring, design #242, is part of the permanent collection at the British Museum, and very rarely becomes available. A beautiful piece, it is crafted of sterling silver in a large sweeping oval-shaped design with curved bezel displaying a gorgeous amber cabochon which captures and reflects the light. A true statement ring, it measures 1 7/8" x 1", the stone measures 1" x 3/4" and rises 3/8 from the setting. Currently a size 4 1/2 US, it has a tapered band with opening which allows it to be resized by a jeweler without disturbing the design or hallmarks.In excellent condition, marked with Georg Jensen dotted oval, 242, 925 S, Denmark.
