An old or antique item of treen woodware. A Norwegian Tine box or may be a Swedish Svepask box made with a bentwood shell sawn together with strands of wood. A flat plank lid that is held in place by two posts.
The lid originally had a loop handle which is now missing. The outside of the box and lid is naively carved. No makers marks or dates. The white spot that appear on ALL the pictures is not a fault on the box but a dirty lens on my camera. 9.5cm high to top of box. 13cm high to top of posts. 17.5cm by 11cm base.
Missing the loop handle on the lid. Split inside where the sewn section is. Rim of the box has chips and missing knot - all historical and well aged. Please ensure that someone is available to receive the package.
