Flawlessly balanced and elegant in its modernist stylizations, the composition has connotations of symbology and meaningfulness in its monument-like lines, a tone that's enhanced by the trio of large granules at the base, the striking iridescence and lively blue glow from the gemstones and their arrangement as a halo cluster on top. The oval moonstone has excellent blue tones, and the labradorite cabochons with their glittering iridescence and electric blue color flashes are well-chosen accompaniments. In excellent condition with a slight twist to one end of the clasp, the brooch is marked "Gi 830S 75, " measures 1 5/8 x 7/8-inches and weighs 5.1 grams. The moonstone measures 8.81 x 6.7-mm, the labradorites 3-mm each, and the last two photos show an entry for this brooch on page 189 of the book Georg Jensen Jewelry, by David A.
