Re-introduced to celebrate the iconic work of Danish modernist Nanna Ditzel, this sterling silver bangle makes a bold statement. Originally designed in 1955, the bangle reflects Ditzel's holistic approach that celebrates functionalism: A Modernist Sterling Silver Bangle Bracelet, Nanna Ditzel for Georg Jensen, The inner circumference of the bangle measures approximately 7 3/4 inches.

It measures approximately 3/4 inch wide. Driven by the desire to create, Nanna Ditzel pursued a career which saw her work with everything from furniture and textiles to hollowware and jewellery.

She became the first woman to design jewellery for Georg Jensen and her bold, minimalist, and always innovative pieces have stood the test of time. The bangle is masterfully crafted from sterling silver. Nanna Ditzel was born in Copenhagen in 1923.

She began training as a cabinetmaker and then went on to study at the School of Arts and Crafts and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. She trained in furniture design, completing her studies in 1946.
