RARE Jens Quistgaard Apprenticeship with Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Duck Pin Art

C e l es ti a l N o n e s u ch. A very rare Sterling Silver Brooch pin, featuring a Mother Duck and three ducklings in a fantastic Art Deco Mid-Century cross-over style.

Signed with Jens Harald Quistgaard signatures,'JHQ', as well as'STERLING' and'DENMARK'. This piece has terrific appeal as Scandinavian design, and will make a terrific addition to collectors of Jens Quistgaard, Dansk and Georg Jensen alike. Jens Quistgaard apprenticed with Georg Jensen as a young man, but his apprenticeship was interrupted by World War 2. This piece presumably comes from this period, and as such is an incredibly rare collaboration between two of the largest Scandinavian designers of the 20th Century.
