Big vintage Scandinavian sterling on enamel daisy flower pin. By Aksel Holmsen of Norway. A brief history: He worked as an apprentice for David Andersen from 1889 - 1904.

He established his own workshop in Oslo Norway in 1906 that would come to be known worldwide as a major supplier of fine enamel and sterling jewelry. His shop closed in 1971. Highly collectible and desirable now - especially in great condition. All enamel is transparent to show of the guilloche or patterned metal work details underneath.

As with all of antique pins of this style, there isn't a lot of tension or spring back to the pin hardware - you have to physically guide and set the pin bar into the cradle.

Very small area of discoloration on the very tip of one petal - see last pic. Barely noticeable and only from certain angles.
