From (Niels Erik From) Circle Sterling Silver Pin/Brooch and Matching Earrings (Pierced Earrings). Gorgeous Set - in excellent vintage condition. Likely from the 1950's - 1960's. Beautiful original patina accentuates the depths and details of this beautiful Modernist Danish Design. Approximate Size: 1 3/4 diameter for brooch.

Six concentric circular links forming a circle (pin/brooch). Matching circular shape/design (pierced earrings). Pin clasp and hinged clips work fine. I'm leaving these lovely vintage brooch & earrings "as is" (meaning will not polish them) in order to keep its original patina. Niels Erik From was born in Denmark in 1908 and trained as a silversmith. From smithy is first registered in Nakskov in 1944. His son-in-law Hilmer Jensen joined the management team in 1960, and took over the firm in 1986 after Niels Erik's death... Over the next forty years Niels Erik went on to become one one of the greats of Danish design, and created many works including floral-inspired designs often set with semi-precious gemstones.

These pieces took inspiration from the Skønvirke style. This was a Scandinavian development that formed part of Denmark's Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts movement. This movement usually took inspiration from nature with designs incorporating flowers and floral motifs as well as featuring natural creatures such as fish.

Niels Erik From has now joined the'greats' of modernist Danish Design. These days the availability of N. From's jewelery has become more and more limited and caused prices to rise as collectors look for the modern classics and early designs.
