Vintage MID Century Modernist Brutalist 925 Sterling Silver Pin Brooch Finland

Vintage mid-century modernist abstract sterling silver pin. Scandinavian masterpiece executed in solid sterling silver with original box. A study in contrast with thick darkened deep texture bark, bright beveled edges and shiny smooth finished pass through swoop.

AGE OR ERA : True authentic vintage piece - estimating 1950's in age. MARKINGS : MADE IN FINLAND STERLING - the box has some makers marks outlined below. METAL / MATERIAL : 925 / 1000 grade sterling silver - the box has a blue velvety lining, white bottom and clear view lid and is marked Toiljalan Kotelotehdas - which I believe is only the brand or company who made the display box.

CLASP / CLOSURE : European style trombone clasp that compliments the piece perfectly. MEASUREMENTS : Measures about 2 3/8" long x 1 1/8" wide.

WEIGHT : 8.9 grams on my scale. INVENTORY NUMBER OR NOTE : x.

= Great vintage condition - no damage or quirks that I could find to mention. I have not cleaned or polished this at all. The box does show it's age - the clear has gotten cloudy and there are several cracks, etc - just included for provenance and protection.

The brooch is in such good shape - I can't even say for certain if it was ever worn or used. In an excellent state of preservation. A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words.
