VTG Outstanding NORWEGIAN Silver BUNAD BROOCH & BRACELET solje Norway FINE
This is a splendidly marvelous vintage set of Norwegian Bunad sølje 830S silver, from Norway. The set is One of a kind custom made and stamped. These are 2 extraordinary pieces of handmade silver from Norway suitable for many bunads or festdrakts from Norway. The bracelet has a snap closure and security chain. It is 1" at the widest and oval shaped approximately 8 3/4" around.
The brooch measures 3 1/4" X 1 1/2" at the widest. It could also be used as decoration on a woven belt for example. Both pieces are stamped with the purity symbol and signature of the artisan but I do not know the name.
I believe the pieces are older and made by an individual silver smith. There is a 3rd piece stamped 830S which possibly could be suitable in design as the breast solje brooch and I have included a photo at the end. It is however brand new and the silver is a bit more shiney. Leave it in the air awhile and the colors should soon match.
This listing is for the brooch and bracelet only and does not include the round brooch. I do not know the date these were made nor where or by whom.
